How To Look Younger With Lip Gloss!

Lip Gloss provides the final touch to your makeup; without it no look is complete. For a perfect result, you will need a steady hand, some practice, the correct implementation and a knowledge of the correct techniques.

 What You Would Need?

A narrow, flat ended brush, a selection of finely sharpened lip pencils, lip gloss and lipstick (either the conventional tube lipstick or the cream type with a sponge-tip applicator. If your lip colour is uneven, then you will need a special lip base or balancer-use a lighter tone on the dark areas and a dark tone on the light areas. These balancers also form a base for lipstick and help to keep the colour of the lipstick pure and clear.

A creamy and shimmery lip pencil smoothens lip tone and thus lends a better look to the lip gloss effect. Ladies with light and medium skin color should use pale natural shades of pencil for defining the lips and give them a better shape along with clear lip gloss with a sheer silver shimmer for a natural look.

To make your lips appear soft and light pink, you can line them with pink lip pencil and use the pink-toned lip-gloss. The other shades that will suit them are light mauve, plum with a bit of sheer shimmer gold, pinkish red that may have the touch of sheer shimmer gold, red and red brown. Dark-skinned ladies can try soft pink, reddish brown and deep brown shades of lip pencils with a lighter or similar shade of lip gloss for their lips to look fuller and fresh.

For some extra gloss, roll the wand applicator on the back of your hand until it collects in a tiny mound. Then scoop it up using the lip brush and spread it evenly on your lips. For feathering lips or lips having fine lines, gloss should only be used on the center of the lips. Too soft and creamy lip pencils get even more softened by the application of the lip gloss and may cause feathering.

Targeting the application of lip gloss on the middle of the bottom lip makes thin lips appear bigger and fuller while to make too full tips look thinner, use deep matter lip colors only and avoid glossy finishes. For a daytime look that lasts all the day long, use a soft lip pencil to define the lips, use natural color lipstick, blot it with the tissue and avoid the gloss but in night, blend the pencil line with the lipstick using sponge applicator, to make lips appear fuller and get that spouty look and gloss them over.

Lip-gloss directed to the center of the mouth makes your lips look fuller while you can avoid matte lipsticks from drying and flaking by using a lip primer or color fixative before applying it. Special effects and highlights can be achieved by using sheer silver, gold or iridescent lip gloss over lip color. For evening special effects, apply a sheer lip-gloss in silver, gold or an iridescent shade over the lip color.

Vitamin E is good for lips to give them a natural glow while lip balm must be applied before applying lipstick to keep your lips moisturized, nourished and naturally rosy. It also prevents the lips from drying and developing of cracks.

Lip gloss add the emphasis to the lips but smooth lips make it easier to glide on and lip gloss lasts longer on them. Even, if you are opting for a matte lip color; apply the lip balm before applying lipstick. Use creamy lipsticks for daily use to keep the lips moisturized and add an intense wet look with the help of lip gloss while transforming your makeup from daytime look to a night party look.

Tinted Lip Balm

By Nicole Smith

Lip balm is a beauty product most commonly used to prevent dry and chapped lips. Since the lip of the mouth is very thin, it is prone to show signs of dryness. Dryness of the lips is commonly caused by external factors such as cold weather. Now lip balm works by serving as a protective layer on the lips and helps by locking the moisture in the lips thus it avoids dryness.

Though there are a lot of lip products that a person can choose from to make one's lips gorgeous, it is also important to make sure that the problem of chapped lips should be avoided. We may think that a lip balm only serves to protect the lips from exposure to external factors, but it is good to know that there have been variations from traditional lip balm. These are known as tinted lip balms. Tinted lip balms not only moisturize the lips, it also gives light and sheer color to the lips. Not only that, there are tinted lip balms that contain SPF and thus helps protect the lips from the heat of the sun.

The following are significant factors to consider in choosing the right tinted lip balm for you to use:

1. The first factor is the lip balm's ingredient. Users must make sure to choose a tinted lip balm that does not contain harmful chemicals and additives that may cause lip irritation. beeswax, petroleum jelly, carnauba wax, dyes, fragrances and sunscreen are some ingredients that are used in making a lip balm.

2. Color- we also have to make sure that we choose a color that will go along well with what we usually wear as well as tinted lip balm color that suits your skin color. There are different colors to choose from in picking your tinted lip balm, some of the most common are pink, nude color, fuchsia, rose and red.

3. The method of how a lip balm is applied is also an important factor to consider since you need to choose a lip balm that is easier for you to apply so you can use them often and without hassle. Tinted lip balms are often encased either in tiny containers or tube-like containers much like a lipstick container. For tinted lip balms encased in small containers, it can be applied using the fingers while for those that is encased in tube-like containers, they can be applied in manner that a lipstick is applied.

4. Ability to protect the lips and relieve dryness- in choosing the perfect tinted lip balm to use, it is also vital that we make sure that the brand that we buy provides the much needed moisture that our lips should have. Not only that, we should make sure that it seals in moisture that is one important characteristic of a lip balm. Before buying a tinted lip balm, we can search for product reviews and other user comments so that we have an idea what brand is commonly preferred by most consumers.

Tinted lip balms differ from lip gloss since lip gloss have a shiny finish and doesn't seal in moisture to the lips unlike the tinted lip balm. Also tinted lip balms, unlike lipstick, have lighter and sheer color. Aside from that, lip balms don't stay on very long on the lips, so if you will be using a lip balm, you may need to reapply more often than when using a lip gloss or lipstick but the good thing is that tinted lip balms are more effortless to use than lipstick or lip gloss.

A Guide to Choosing the Best Lip Gloss For the Workplace

Once again, very full lips are one of the most sought after "assets", thanks in large part to a very popular and sexy actress that seems to appeal to both men and women. Plastic surgeons say the most often requested lips they would like to imitate are Angelina Jolie's. And who can blame them? You can't deny the sensuality and femininity of a full pair of lips.Lips that are fuller can really balance out the face, and add to the attractiveness and symmetry of the overall facial structure.

Full, soft looking lips seem to compliment and soften any woman's face and bring out their most feminine, sensual and sultry features. You may be one of the lucky women who has been blessed with a perfectly pouty and full smile, but if you're reading this article you are probably seeking to enlarge, enhance, or otherwise increase the volume and fullness of your lips.

Fuller Lips Without Injections Or Surgery?

But who really has the money or inclination to go have a costly, and many times painful, procedure performed which may not even produce permanent results? Not to mention, most of these procedures are, in fact, not permanent, and do require recurring visits every six months. This can really add up, and the results may not even be as natural as you desire. So the question is, if you want fuller, larger, sexier lips, what are your nonsurgical choices, if any that are safe AND effective?

It seems like every day a new cosmetics company is popping up on the internet claiming to have the one lip enlargement product that really works. How are you to tell which of these lip enhancement products really lives up to it's claims? We all know that most of them probably are just a waste of good money. Most lip enlargement creams, gels and glosses work by actually irritating the outer layer of cells, causing it to swell slightly and turn a deeper color.

Other lip enhancers use light reflection through high shine or gloss to trick the eye and make the lips appear fuller. Most of these do not result in any truly noticeable difference to the naked eye, and do not last more than one hour. There are a few products that have been shown to help increase moisture and volume over time with repeated use. Do not expect a dramatic increase by the use of these products alone though.

Best Lip Balm For Beautiful Lips

The best, most dramatic natural lip enlargement can be achieved through combining the use a quality topical lip product along with a lip enlargement pump.A lip enlargement pump is a small hand-held device that gently suctions the lips outward, pulling fliud in to the lips and creating a dramatically fuller set of lips for a few hours at a time. They are inexpensive, and you only need to buy it once and you're done.

I do however recommend you purchase a few so you have one for home and one for on the road. The best part about this device is that, over time and with regular use, you will notice your lip size really has increased, even after the initial effect of lip "plumping" has worn off.One word of caution though, if the pump is used for too long with each individual treatment, or the suction is too vigorous and severe, it will cause your lips to bruise.

So start slow, and be sure you are not in discomfort as this is a sign the lips may bruise. Be cautious and mindful of this, and stick to the recommended treatment times. If the suction is too much, reduce the pressure by releasing the nozzle until it is a comfortable "tugging" sensation. This device is truly a great way to achieve a dramatic increase in lip size, and is a great "special occasion" beauty tool. It is a Hollywood standby for photo shoots and a favorite trick of models and actresses to get the lips extra plump and full.

Love Affair With Lip Gloss

Another tip for maintaining moisture and fullness of the lips, besides using a good lip enhancer and a lip pump (if so desired for dramatic effects), is to keep you body hydrated. Be sure to drink plenty of water at all times, and be sure to apply your lip product whenever it wears off. Keeping the lips hydrated is part of the trick to keeping them as full and flushed as possible, so they stand out, instead of blending in with the rest of your face. Avoid dehydrating ingredients such as mint and camphor.

Here's an interesting fact: Did you know that your lips actually get fuller during the times of your monthly cycle when estrogen levels are elevated? You may have thought you were imagining that your lips are fuller during certain times of the month - but you weren't!So, now you know that you really can achieve fuller lips without the surgery and injections. As long as you are dilligent in administering the treatments as recommended, and choose the best products, you are on your way to a perfectly full, soft set of lips!

Best Lip Gloss Information

There are numerous types of gloss; plumping lip gloss, glitter, color or no color and some even have flavors. This article will help you choose which gloss is right for you, even when there might be more than one choice. For instance, a night on the town might require different lip gloss than
what you wear at work.

Maybe you want one type of gloss for everyday, and a separate gloss for date night. When choosing the best lip gloss, it's important to know how the gloss affects your lips.Plumping lip glosses work one of two ways.

They either use a specific ingredient to cause a reaction on your lips, which makes them swell slightly, or they use an ingredient which fills in the lines on your lips and makes them appear fuller.

When the gloss uses an ingredient, usually cinnamon, which swells your lips, it can cause a slight stinging sensation or you may feel as if you just ran cold water over your lips. This can be an unpleasant experience for some, and some, like myself, think they experience is refreshing.

If the gloss is using an ingredient which fills the lines in your lips, for example collagen, the gloss may not plump your lips as much as it just gives the appearance of fuller lips. A lip gloss that has sparkle usually contains glitter. Poorly made glitter glosses can leave small particles on your lips, which may be difficult to get rid of and can be inconvenient when applying another type of lip product.

Additionally, using this type of gloss can make you appear older. Used on a daily basis, this product is best for younger girls, however, it is perfect for a night out on the town for any age. Using a colored gloss can be very convenient. Keeping a colored lip gloss in your bag means you can leave your lipstick at home.

A lightly colored gloss can be perfect for the workplace. Choose monotone colors, like beige or peach, stay away from pinks and reds, for the office. Additionally it might be helpful to keep a darker colored gloss for a night out on the town. While not as convenient, a sheer gloss is great for wearing any time. The sheer gloss can go over lipstick, or just add a natural shine to your lips for everyday wear.

Lip gloss which has flavor and aroma is always the best gloss to use on date night, in my opinion. Never use a thick coating. Remember that you aren't the only one to be affected by the tastes and feel of the gloss. Flavored lip gloss is perfect for kissing, if applied lightly.

Choosing the best lip glosses is a matter of taste. You can read reviews of different gloss, and that may give you an idea of how that particular gloss works, but it may not give you the information that's important in your decision-making.

Knowing all the facts, about the benefits and detriments each type of lip gloss, will bring you that much closer to choosing the best lip gloss. When you decide to purchase your lip gloss, be sure to ask friends and family what advice they have and which products they like to use.
